At Skinner & Vale, every piece is handmade to order. Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting — your jacket, cap, or bag is made specifically for you, from scratch, when you place your order.
Why we can't accept returns on Jackets, Gilets and Dog Coats
We don't hold stock. Every item — from our bespoke jackets to our accessories — is individually handcrafted once your order is placed. This is what makes each piece unique, and it's also why a traditional returns process isn't possible for us on certain items.
We believe in being upfront about this so you can shop with confidence and clarity.
Every Skinner & Vale piece is created with care and craftsmanship. Because the majority of our products are made to order, our returns policy reflects the bespoke nature of what we do — while always putting the customer experience first.
Caps & Bags
We offer a 14-day return policy on caps and bags, provided items are returned in their original unused condition.

Street Luxe Range & Dog Coats — Made to Order
Every piece is made to order especially for you — we're unable to offer refunds. However, we can arrange an exchange or issue a store credit to use against a future order.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or is not what you ordered, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at hello@skinnerandvale.com with your order number and photos of the item.

Bespoke & custom orders
For our bespoke commissions and fully customised pieces, our team works closely with you throughout the process — from initial consultation to final sign-off — to ensure the finished piece is exactly what you envisioned. Because of the collaborative nature of this process, bespoke orders are non-refundable and non-returnable under all circumstances.
